it's lovely having a library in walking distance.
We're still walking about in the evenings, although it has changed a bit. We've had to really bundle up this week with the highs in the 45 degrees region. I'm still not use to this wet-cold. I'm use to dry-cold that nips at your nose, cheeks and ears. Wet-cold sticks to every part of you and gnaws through your clothing. Apparently it's going to warm up some this weekend and while it's been fun to bundle up with gloves, scarves and hats, we aren't complaining.
There is still so much to acquaint ourselves with here. We are but newbies trying to feel our way around this new place. We're doing our best to enjoy this process (without too much trouble, thankfully.) But mostly we are finding that we are grateful for the essentials. Grateful for the home we keep between us at all times. Grateful for families that feel close even when they're far. Grateful for lessons learned and new ones approaching. Grateful for the beautiful things surrounding.
just, grateful.
