There are certainly perks to living downtown. The nice thing about downtown Lexington is that it manages a neighborhood feel and is extremely pedestrian friendly. The farmers market is every weekend. It even goes on during the winter months, but moves to a warehouse in another part of town-- just as close.
Dollar-a-stem flowers. Homemade lavender lemonade {which I thought would taste soapy, but it turned out to be one of the loveliest beverages ever}. Pumpkins and gourds. Lovely people and local farmers. Handmade cheeses and pastas. Local honey. Local musicians and talented groups.
We could get use to this.
